Egypt Green Building Council (Egypt GBC) participated in the second phase of “BUILD ME- Accelerating Zero-Emission Building Sector in The MENA Region” Project, which is funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the Federal German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and led by Navigant Consulting.
The 1st phase of the project took place in 2016-2018 in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon. It focused on identifying barriers for the uptake of efficient and renewable energy-based heating and cooling systems and the development of recommendations to overcome them.
It also managed a policy dialogue with relevant stakeholders to improve the political framework for energy efficiency in the building sector.
